Sheldon Buckmaster remembers, as a young boy, seeing this very vehicle, touring locally as Hitler's Car. He said it sat in the V-shaped land next to Petoskey MI JC Penney store on the corner of Howard and East Mitchell streets. He remembers that it had maybe been transported there inside a large truck.
Other websites, like one on Tripod (filled with photos), contend that perhaps as many as 7 or 8 vehicles like this were a part of Hitler's fleet for his staff. One vehicle exists today in the Canada War Museum in Ottawa Canada. That car is discussed on the "Material Culture Review" webpage.
