Lincoln Elementary Students and Faculty brought in photos of military persons from their friends and families to be hung on this display in the lobby of Lincoln Elementary School in 2012 . The photos then were connected via red yarn to the place on the world map where the person served. For instance, Sheldon Buckmaster in the very center of the display was connected to Pakistan where he served for 16 months in the early 1960s. The photo at the left is of Don Nelson, the father of Marta Nelson Dennis, 4th grade teacher at the school... a great memorial for Veteran's Day, and a great learning project for the students!
Our US Flag, and many photos of our "Home Town Heroes" hang on the front wall of the Petoskey MI Walmart store
